NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. INTERNET ACCESS AND A VALID FACEBOOK ACCOUNT ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER. 


Eligibility: The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at time of Entry, except employees, officers and directors of  The J.M. Smucker Company (“Sponsor”), its parent, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, sales representatives, advertising, sales, promotion and judging agencies, webmasters/suppliers, and their respective immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children and their spouses) or household members (whether or not related). The Sweepstakes is void outside the 50 United States and D.C. and where prohibited or restricted by law. 

  
To Enter: Between 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on December 15, 2022 and 11:59 p.m. ET January 15, 2023 (the “Sweepstakes Period”), access the Morris the 9lives® Cat page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Morristhe9livescat/) and in the comments section of the Morris the 9Lives® Cat Facebook post inviting entry, publish a photo and adoption story of your cat to receive one entry into the Sweepstakes (an “Entry”). Limit one Entry per person during the Sweepstakes Period. Photos must meet the Photo Guidelines in the section below. You must have a Facebook account to enter. If you don’t have a Facebook account, you may sign up for a free Facebook account at www.facebook.com.  Entrants may not submit multiple Entries using multiple Facebook accounts. No robotic, programmed, script, macro or other automated entries. Automated entries and/or multiple entries by the same person or Facebook account will be disqualified. Photos will not be judged. This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding this Sweepstakes shall be directed to Sponsor and not to Facebook. If entering via a mobile phone or other web-enabled device and using your wireless carrier’s network, standard data charges from your wireless carrier may apply. Personal information collected is subject to the Sponsor’s privacy policy at http://www.jmsmucker.com/privacy-policy. By submitting an Entry, entrant agrees to these Official Rules. 

 
Photo Guidelines: Photo submission must be the sole, exclusive and original work of the entrant and must be in English. Entrant must own the cat(s) portrayed in the Photo and only the cat(s) may be featured in the Photo, no humans. Photo must be the sole, exclusive and original work of the entrant. LIMITED LICENSE: You may use Brand Marks for purposes of this program only. No other rights in or to Brand Marks are granted hereunder. Photo: 1) must not infringe third-party rights or include copyrights, trademarks, logos (including but not limited to emoticons/emojis, company names, or symbols) other than Brand Marks, to the extent permitted hereunder, 2) must not disparage any person or party, 3) must not include any personally identifiable information of any person, 4) must not be obscene or offensive to any person or party, 5) must not include alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons, or any activities that may be deemed unsafe or dangerous, and 6) must not be sexually explicit or suggestive, all as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, remove any Photo and that is not consistent with the Sponsor’s public image.  

 
Prize Details/Odds: THIRTY (30) PRIZES: Each prize (“Prize”) consists of the following:  

  • Four (4) digital tickets for Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (through Fandango with a value of $60) 
  • One (1) year supply of 9Lives® cat food (24 coupons for one 15 lb. bag of 9Lives® dry food, total of $360.00) 
  • One (1) Morris Magnet Frame (retail $3) 
  • One (1) 9Lives® Magnet (retail $5) 
  • One (1) Cat toy (retail $10) 
  • One (1) 9Lives® Coffee Mug (retail $18) 
  • One (1) 9Lives® Notebook (retail $12) 

Approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Prize: $468. A total of thirty (30) Prizes will be awarded (ARV of all Prizes is $14,040). No Prize substitutions permitted, except by Sponsor, who may substitute a Prize of equal or greater value. Prize is non-transferable. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received. Limit one Prize per person.  

Drawing/Notification: On or about three (3) business days (excluding holidays) following the Sweepstakes Period, thirty winners will be selected via random drawing from all eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period (individually, a “Prize Winner”). The drawing and awarding of the Prize will be conducted by a representative of the Sponsor whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Sponsor will contact potential Prize Winners, via a direct message on Facebook (or by posting a comment to the potential Prize Winners Entry, if sending a direct message is not possible) and will request information including entrant’s complete name, address, city, state, ZIP code, and daytime phone number be sent to Sponsor via Facebook within 48 hours. Failure by potential Prize Winner to send this information within 48 hours of delivery by Sponsor of its direct message to potential Prize Winner will result in forfeiture of the Prize and the Prize will be awarded to an alternate Prize Winner selected in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible Entries. 

General Conditions: Prizes will be shipped to the Prize Winners within four weeks of the end date of the Sweepstakes Period. By submitting an Entry, entrants agree that Sponsor and its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, Facebook, Inc., and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, are indemnified, released and will be held harmless by entrants from any and all liability, for any damages, injuries or losses of any kind to person(s), including death, or property, arising directly or indirectly from the acceptance, possession, misuse or use of a Prize or his/her participation in the Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes-related activity; and by accepting a Prize, the Prize Winner grants (and agrees to confirm such grant in writing promptly upon request) to Sponsor and those acting under Sponsor’s authority the right to the use of entrant’s name, photograph, likeness, voice, image, caption, statements and biographical information at any time or times for advertising, trade, publicity and promotional purposes in any media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide and on the World Wide Web, without review, notification, approval or additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. All taxes on the Prize, if any, are solely the responsibility of the Prize Winner. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. By submitting an Entry, entrants agree that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, will be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. By submitting an Entry, entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the appropriate courts in the State of California and agree that any and all disputes shall be resolved exclusively in these courts. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, Entry will be deemed to have been made by the authorized Facebook Account holder of the Facebook ID used to submit the Entry. “Authorized Facebook Account holder” is the natural person who is assigned to the Facebook ID by Facebook. This Promotion is no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. 

Limitations of Liability: Neither Sponsor nor its agencies are responsible for lost, late, stolen, illegible, misdirected, or non-delivered Entries or e-mail, or lost, interrupted or unavailable satellite, network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), or other connections availability, accessibility or traffic congestion, or miscommunications, or failed computer, network, telephone, satellite, or cable hardware, software or lines, or technical failure, or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions, or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic or network, or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of an Entry or other information or the failure to capture, or loss of, any such information.  

Neither Sponsor nor its agencies are responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes and assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or tampering with or hacking of the Morris the 9Lives® Cat Facebook page. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds is or may be tampering with the Entry process, the operation of the Sweepstakes, or the Morris the 9Lives® Cat Facebook page, or who is or may be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to threaten, abuse or harass any other person. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned by reason of infection by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, hacking, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes which, in sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, and to determine Prize Winner from eligible Entries received prior to action taken. No more than the number of Prizes stated in these Official Rules will be awarded. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to legal action by Sponsor or its agents.

Winners List: The names of the Prize Winners will be posted on the Morris the 9Lives® Cat Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages after the Prize Winner has been verified.
